Kitchenaid Ice Cream Maker Leaking Blue Liquid

Kitchenaid ice cream maker leaking blue liquid. Reviewed in canada on november 22 2019. Only do one thing so i decided to get this attachment though i hesitated for a long time due to reviews saying that the blue liquid leaks. Being an eager guy wanting to make ice cream i washed and cleaned it up and placed it in the freezer. I contacted kitchenaid in the first week of february 2016 before purchasing the item and they stated there were no reports of product issues and therefore no intent to change.

I was cleaning my cabinet out and noticed it has now leaked blue liquid all over and completely ruined my cabinet. For a creamier ice cream. I recieved the ice cream machine as a gift and have only used it once. I had some concerns about purchasing this item due to the high number of reports on numerous websites that the blue liquid leaks.

Used 6 times and then put away for a couple of months. I loved the idea of making fresh homemade ice cream for my family including adding fruit into the mix strawberries raspberries peaches or in the summer i grow blackberries will make it even better. The ice cream maker attachment fits all kitchenaid stand mixers with the exception of the artisan mini which cannot accommodate the size of the bowl and the accolade mixer kn15e1x which has a different base plate. I wonder how to track if kitchenaid has made improvements to fix the flaw in the unit. But after researching about this it seems a lot of people are having the same problems some worse and are advising to seal the leak with hot glue or epoxy.
